![]() ![]() ![]() Hellraiser: Bloodline also is shot extremely well, with creepy lighting that only makes the viewer feel more uneasy. All the actors onscreen are doing a good job, including a pre- Parks & Recreation Adam Scott and original Pinhead Doug Bradley. Hellraiser: Bloodline also made the character of Pinhead more serious and scary again, as opposed to his Freddy Krueger-style behavior in Hellraiser III.Īlthough Hellraiser: Bloodline suffers from the strains of trying to cram an epic horror story into an 85-minute running time, it is surprisingly well-made and competently put together. The film also added interesting characters to the franchise's universe, including Angelique, a princess of Hell who ultimately became a Cenobite, and a pair of Siamese Twin Cenobites who had a rather grotesque way of dispatching their victims. This included telling the story of the creation of the series' puzzle box in 18th century France, along with additional stories involving the creators' descendants in New York City in 1996 and on a space station in 2127.Īlthough the idea of Pinhead and the Cenobites in space was rather silly, Hellraiser: Bloodline did it with a straight face and mostly pulled it off. Instead of having a straightforward narrative set in the modern day like the previous Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, the fourth film jumped around in time, giving it the structure of an anthology. ![]() If anything can be said about Hellraiser: Bloodline, it's that this one was ambitious. ![]()
